Operation Keep Ghana Clean: Drama as mobile phone snatcher caught by passerby’s was made to sweep the whole Kaneshie market followed by some beatings as initial punishment.
The video caught moment he received slaps from an unknown man he called Bra Yaw.
The thief was secured with a long nylon rope held at one end to prevent him from escaping. He was given a big broom to sweep around the market.
From the background voices, the young man took it upon himself to snatch phones and sell to others at cheaper prices so he earns his daily meal. He is a renowned thief in the area but today has been a bad day for him.
