Rodrygo Goes was born in West of Sao Paulo, in the little Brazilian town of Osasco, in 2001. He began playing for Santos at the age of 9, developing into a regular in the first squad before joining Madrid.
Rodrygo assisted Santos in advancing to the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores last season, where his team was defeated by Independiente de Avellaneda.
The Brazilian played 49 times for Santos’ first squad overall, with 10 goals and 5 assists. He represented Brazil’s in the 2019 South American U-20 Championship when he was 18-year-old.
He played for Santos under former Argentine manager Jorge Sampaoli. After being fired by Argentina following the 2018 World Cup in Russia, the Argentinean took over at Santos.
On September 25, 2019, Los Blancos faced Osasuna in his team’s debut. He scored the game’s second goal for the Brazilians.

Rodrygo’s father, Eric Batista De Goes, was a professional Brazilian footballer who played the position of a right back and has won numerous accolades for his enormous output in matches.
Eric Goes is retired, but his son Rodrygo is busily piling up goals for the Real Madrid football club and his beloved country, Brazil.
Rodrygo dad loves him so much that he always post his photos on social media almost all the time. Rodrygo is his only son and Ana Julya Goes is his only daughter born in 2018.
