Ghislaine Maxwell has now been sentenced to 20 years in prison today, 28th June, 2022 for aiding her boss in his quest to sexually assault underage girls. She stated in court that she hoped her incarceration brought victims some measure of closure.
On December 29, 2021, Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty of five of the six charges brought against her, including sex trafficking of minors and conveying a minor with the purpose to engage in illegal sexual activity.
Even though Jeffrey Epstein is no longer alive, questions still remain about the sex offender. His enormous wealth’s origins are still a mystery, and many suspicions that he may have sold children and women into slavery to some of the most powerful individuals in the world but it has not been proven.
One of the largest mysteries involves Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former girlfriend and traveling companion, who is now accused of luring a juvenile to travel in order to engage in prostitution.
Donald Trump, who has publicly wished Maxwell luck on numerous occasions, seems to be at least one of her supporters despite the fact that she has consistently rejected the accusations made against her.
Although Maxwell has long been considered incidental to the Epstein case, a new Peacock documentary titled Epstein’s Shadow: Ghislaine Maxwell, which premieres on June 24, puts the focus squarely on her.
